Get off to a flying start

Time is precious, and we know that you want to enjoy as many experiences as possible on your holiday. That’s why a Med Fly-cruise could be the perfect choice for a P&O Cruises holiday – the speed and convenience of air travel combined with the luxury and excitement of cruising.

Start your holiday with the maximum of days in your chosen destinations by flying straight from your nearest airport (choose from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Belfast, Cardiff, East Midlands, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle) direct to Venice or Genoa, the heart of the Mediterranean. All flights and transfers are arranged for you and your luggage will be taken care of – after you’ve checked in, the next time you see it you’ll be stepping into your cabin, ready to unpack.

One holiday, endless possibilities

Why settle for a single view when the Med has so much to offer? On a seven-day Med Fly-cruise, you could enjoy four holidays in one, while on a 14-day Med Fly-cruise, you could tick off as many as nine separate ports. All you have to do is decide between one week or two, then sit back, relax and let us take you on an adventure around the Med.

You could find yourself exploring the stunning Montenegrin coastal town of Kotor, with its fascinating history and delicious seafood. Or, wonder at the natural beauty of the emerald isle of Corfu on the Corfu Highlights shore excursion, walk in the steps of history in Napoleon’s hometown of Ajaccio, and see for yourself whether the words of George Bernard Shaw ring true and Dubrovnik really is paradise on Earth.

If indulging in the tastes of Italy is the order of the day, pick up a slice (or two) of pizza in Naples, savour local Tuscan wines on the Charming Bolgheri and Tuscan Wine shore excursion from Florence, and get your caffeine hit with the locals in a café in Rome. And don’t get us started on the delights on offer in Genoa and Venice… So pack up, let’s fly!

With a Med-Fly cruise you really can enjoy a wealth of experiences and finish your holiday feeling enriched, invigorated and refreshed. And if you like, you can extend your stay by a day or more with extra time in Venice or Genoa at the start or end of your trip. To get a flavour of the great destinations on offer, watch our videos.

All the comforts you crave

You might be exploring up to nine different Mediterranean destinations on your holiday, but you’ll only ever have to unpack once. With over 175 years of cruise heritage to call on, no one quite knows cruising like we do. We understand that it’s often the little touches that mean the most. That’s why we operate a cashless system on board, so there’s no need to worry about finding a safe place to stash your cash. And with all prices on our ships being in pound sterling, it’s easy to keep a track of your holiday spending. To make you feel even more at home, all cabins come equipped with three-pin sockets, so you can charge your phones and tablets without the need for travel adaptors. And if, after all the Mediterranean delights of the day, you simply fancy a comforting cuppa, fear not – you really don’t need to go far to find one on board.

Why I love Med Fly-cruises
Passenger Nicky Stitchman, a Med-Fly cruise passenger on Oceana last year, describes why she loves flying straight to the sun

‘We have flown to join Caribbean cruises before, but this was our first experience of a P&O Cruises Med Fly-cruise. As much as we love sailing out of Southampton, a Med Fly-cruise takes you straight to the sun and helps you fit more ports into your holiday – especially important if you, like us, only have a week to enjoy. We chose to let P&O Cruises organise the flights so we didn’t have to worry about transfers, or missing the ship. It was an early start, but the upside was that we were on Oceana by 11.30am and had the whole day to enjoy the sunshine, the ship and Genoa, as we didn’t sail until 9pm that night. Another plus, which we didn’t realise at the time, was that once we checked in at the airport we didn’t see our luggage again until it was delivered to our cabin by our lovely steward – no waiting at carousels or looking for trolleys with wonky wheels! The ground staff were very helpful and efficient and the check-in at the port was just as easy and smooth as normal.’
