Cruise through the turning of the Canadian leaves aboard Arcadia

Cruise with Arcadia from Southampton for an in-depth journey into the wild beauty of Canada - think rugged coasts, wildlife, crab shacks and lighthouses. With a full day in each port, and two full days in Quebec, you’ll have plenty of time to explore ashore.

Your first call will be St John’s, Newfoundland, with its colourful row houses clustering the hills around the harbour. Halifax, with its dramatic coastline, is one of the closest ports to Europe, while pretty Charlottetown was Canada’s birthplace in 1864.

A highlight of our ‘fall foliage’ cruise is Quebec, where you will have two days to make its acquaintance. Its steep cobbled streets make an atmospheric counterpoint to the trees blazing crimson, yellow and gold, creating a dazzling spectacle.
Colossal canyons stretch 100km along the Saguenay River, with three national parks vying for your attention, only upstaged by the spectacular sight of whales surfacing near the mouth of St Lawrence River. Sept Îles borders a circular bay protected by seven islands, hence its name. Gaspé is surrounded by dramatic rock faces, pounding surf and jagged coasts dotted with lighthouses. Corner Brook brims with history and legends of pirates and explorers. Your last port of call is Sydney, Nova Scotia, founded by the British in 1785, and set amidst stunning scenery.
